In your dreams

Came across this old photo in my Archives recently, and, as it's Snowy Owl season, I thought I'd post it. Taken at the Calgary Zoo on 31 October 2009. This handsome male Snowy Owl had such beautiful, white feathers, so he must have been several years old. He used to be in the enclosure near the Tigers, with his mate, and a few years ago they had three babies that were so ugly that they were cute : ) I seem to remember being told that he had died some time ago. This, of course, is how birders and photographers would love to see a Snowy Owl in the wild. However, for the reality, take a look at the third photo I posted today, lol.
