Catching the light

Another Poppy image taken on 27th August in Jim Coutts' amazing homestead garden, just north east of Nanton, Alberta.
Had a wonderful day today, out in the mountains, in Kananaskis. Good friends very kindly invited me to go with them, as they wanted to check out the Mt. Lorette area where the Golden Eagles will be passing over during their migration. We came back to the city by completing the incredibly beautiful loop through Kananaskis, on Highway 40. A mix of sun and cloud plus the arrival of fall colours made for some spectacular sights. Will have to take a better look at my photos tomorrow, as I am having to prop my eyes open this evening. Already fallen asleep in front of the TV once, so I'm not much good for anything : ) Posting my photos quite late.
