Double-crested Cormorants and a Gull

Finally, a bird photo, LOL! I take so few bird shots during the "summer" months, but just had to try this very distant photo of these two young Double-crested Cormorants and a Gull. Seen on a cold, cold, rather grey morning yesterday, in the middle of the Bow River at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. I didn't realize that young Cormorants have a speckled breast.
"The Double-crested Cormorant is found near rivers, lakes and along the coastline. It mainly eats fish and hunts by swimming and diving. Its feathers, like those of all cormorants, are not waterproof and it must spend time drying them out after spending time in the water. Once threatened by use of DDT, the numbers of this bird have increased markedly in recent years." From Wikipedia.
