Doing what Nuthatches do
Held in place
Sweet Peas
Saturated footsteps
Button eyes
A single drop
On the wall
Nature's sketchbook
Edged in ice
Stand up and be counted
Winter desolation
Old age surrounded by youth
Splendour
A perfect pose
A little worse for wear
Haunting howl of the Wolf
Such a little cutie
A burst of colour
A quick Hello
Giving me a look
One of my favourites
One-eyed beauty
Alert for an instant
Colour in a world of white
Rough-legged Hawk
A winter sunset
Succulent
Gray Partridge
Hello sun, goodbye moon
The last of Christmas
Icy trio
-40C windchill
Sunrise of the day
Winding through the woods
Making friends
Rose hips
Star of wonder
Pileated Woodpecker
My Christmas angel
Wearing his winter coat
Sunshine stripes
Here comes Santa Claus
At home in the snow
Like whipped cream

Just dropping in to say Hello

This little Red-breasted Nuthatch flew down to my hand this afternoon. They are obviously used to being fed (before the rule that no birds are to be hand fed), as they will still fly down to any extended hand, whether empty or not.
