Old age surrounded by youth

A photo from my archives, taken back in August on the homestead property of Jim Coutts, near Nanton, south of Calgary. He has the most amazing gardens there and his poppies are perhaps my favourites. To be honest, I did something for the very first time with this image! I "removed" a dead stem that went across the bottom right corner that annoyed me every time I saw this photo. I always vowed I would never do anything like that - but I did, so I wanted to make sure I said so : )
