A fountain in the grounds of Greys Court, a National Trust property in the southern Chiltern Hills at Rotherfield Greys, near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

For 'Sight and Sound' I have chosen "Fountain of Sorrow" by Jackson Browne.

A studio version from the 1974 album "Late for the Sky". And, a live version by Jackson Browne and John David Souther.

What a pretty little fountain. Hopefully it's not too sorrowful. :)

Oh, I've always loved this song. It's incredibly beautiful. I haven't heard it in so long. What a treat with Mr. Souther. He's one of my favorite songwriters.

I think the fountain was only sorrowful on the third Monday of each month :-) It is, for sure, a marvellous song. I haven't listened to the album for a very long time. Just need to find the cd so that I can put it on the cd player :-)
