Wales
After having shown pictures of the Lake District I stumbled across these pictures from Wales. Friends of mine have a house there and we stayed over a weekend. No, this is not the house - although it is also quite old - about 500 years or so. ;-)
These are the ruins of the priory of Llanthony which was built in the 12th century. Wiki knows more about it, of course!

It was also painted by William Turner:

(I mention this because he's one of my favourite painters - and I just found out myself that Llanthony was one of his motifs).

Ice Cloud
I got lost in total fascination with the ice... although I am not a particular fan of edible ice in winter. ;)

Halbgefrorenes / Semifreddo (2)
... or better in colour?
(Looks like a sort of aquarium now...) ;-)

Under Crystal Glass
Sorry, Panda, this time as a reflection... ;-)
It was such a strange transparancy... as if looking through glass or something. It was no proper ice surface but just a thin layer of little ice drops. One could see the water moving under it. This lake surprises me every time I go there. Today it was stunning again. But pictures follow later. ;)

Downwards
It was about here that I changed my shoes. Some danger for the ankles to be twisted on this stony path but I was lucky.
