Short-Horned Grasshopper on my Finger

I took a walk in the meadow yesterday and found this beautiful, bold fellow on the ground. As I crouched down to give him an appraising look, I was surprised that he didn't immediately sproing away with a resounding "EEEEEEEeeeeeEEEEEE!!!!" He was so calm, in fact, that I wondered if I could gently coerce him up onto my finger for a picture. What do you know! Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you my gorgeous speckled grasshopper friend!
