Lovely Penstemon Blossom

I really wanted to get a good close-up of this beautiful flower with its glowing, almost neon blue-purple color. I was so happy that this image turned out! It gives a glimpse of the luminance and rich color of these enchanting, small flowers. This picture was taken during our MeetUp hike to the base of Pilot Rock in Southern Oregon on July 23, 2011.
