Clayfolk Show! This is Tea ThanhBinh Duong: Pair of Vases

This is Day 12 of 14 of my Clayfolk Art Show exhibit! I started with Lorene Senesac, Rhonda Hampton, Steve Kirkland, Bruce Finch, Vera Rogers, Jan Lacy, Cheryl Kempner, CJ June, Shirley Usher, Debra & Larry Nelson, and Nina Fernstrom-Duong!
Today's featured artist is Nina Fernstrom-Duong's very talented husband, Tea ThanhBinh Duong! I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Tea as the first artist at Clayfolk, and I was taken by his warmth, friendliness, and glowing charisma. Turning my attention to his artwork, I was amazed to see that Tea has the ability to transfer his persona into every one of his creations! There is a wonderful depth to everything I saw, and the glazing and detail are just amazing. Many of his vases and candlestick holders have metallic glazes which are absolutely incredible with lustrous glinting surfaces and yet, when one looks close, the textures and patterns within the glaze take ones' breath away! Tea really knows how to play with glaze colors too, and his plates and bowls are often a blend of many colors, creating incredible abstracts and mouth-watering hues that blend from one color to another. In short, Tea is one dynomite artist and I was so glad I got to meet him and photograph his pottery!
There are 7 images showing Tea's gorgeous pottery, and I hope you'll check out every photo, as each one shows the richness and detail in his artwork.
If you would like to contact Tea ThanhBinh Duong, you can reach him by email: teapot@hughes.net
