On the Dock.
Several years ago, when I was involved with a small school, I ended up (for lack of anyone better) teaching a beginning Darkroom/Photography class. My experience was limited to high school developing and some darkroom work with a couple of friends but I had a blast re-discovering stuff along with the couple of teens brave enough to sign on with me. It was a lot of fun.
Anyway, for the first assignment we all had to shoot a roll and develop it. Since I only had an automatic camera at the time, I decided to develop a few canisters of film discovered in my husband's grandfather's stuff.
This photo was on one of them.
One of those snaps sort of heavy with family traumas hidden and yet to come but unknown to everyone on the dock enjoying their family vacation. And dark histories also unknown to all of you in Flickr Land - so feel free to enjoy it as it is!
