Tintype of Pink Cheeked Girl

Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of spooky children.
I actually never really saw her that way, but since I have had many comments over the years with people seeing her as creepy, and failing any other likely spooky children images, here she is!
This is a favorite - I love her little face and her high button boots, her hat and her rather stringy hair.
I bought this years ago in Connecticut. She always reminded me of Shelly Duval. : )

And I remain completely uninterested in returning.
As far as Flickr goes, I confess that I still post over there, though anything new goes here on Ipernity first. It's slightly less annoying than it was last year, and I've avoided the ads since my paid account has automatically renewed. Search engines don't seem to find my Ipernity photos as readily as they do on Flickr (a third cousin found me on Flickr that way just yesterday and provided a photo of my parents from 1958), but Ipernity is still more fun.
Sadly, I've noticed that 3 or 4 friends and acquaintances have packed their bags, closed their Ipernity accounts, and gone back to Flickr in just the last week or so. That's how I suddenly ended up as the admin for Cover of a Magazine. Anyone interested in taking it over?
Alan, I am not at all interested in posting on Flickr, but I've kept mine open for the very reason you bring up - the greater web presence. Not in any way in terms of views, but in terms of family connections. Probably my unusual last name helps. Even beyond meeting my half sister, giving my mom photos of her mother (who died when she was two), finding a guy in Denmark who had done my Dad's family tree back to the 1600s (my Dad didn't even know his grandmother's name), I just keep on getting these cool family connections. My strategy is to go over there every few weeks and check my Flickr mail - that's it for me. : )
On another note - I know what twin photo you refer to and can't quite believe you never saw them as spooky! : )
