Thanks so much, Pam! I wish I could have been able to compose the image without those telephone poles in the way, but I didn't wish to get out of the car, either, lol! Believe it or not, as I got closer to it, the storm only grazed me; most of it was to the east. The sun was shining brightly to the west, so you should have seen the beautiful rainbow it made! Trouble was, I could only see it from my rear view mirror while driving on a busy highway! Sometimes luck is not in one's favor when it comes to natural phenomenon so spectacular; I was lucky enough just to capture the storm from a distance!

Val... I live in Tornadoland ! You do not mess with storms ! I also collate weather comments for CoCoRaHS and its used by NOAA and many other people. Folk are so laissez faire about storms.... basically if you can hear Thunder.. you dont need to be OUT in it !!!

It sure looked like it! I missed most of the storm once I arrived where it was. By then there was a magnifient rainbow that I only could see from my sideview mirror while driving on a very busy highway. Would have LOVED to capture that sight on camera! Oh well, at least I got the storm itself, lol! Thanks for visiting and for the star, Paul :-))

It may've been a better composition to go a little backward to incorporate the pole which is now outside the picture

Oh wow that looks like a massive storm coming - certainly loads of water in those clouds

Yes, there was much water in those clouds; you can actually see the rain on the left side of the cloud mass. It was amazing to look at!
