Thank you so very much, Pam! I think I made over thirty teddy bears over the course of my production. I sold 5, gave most of them as presents and kept about 10 for myself. I have another I could make and have pieces cut out for it, it's just a matter of making myself do it. I should do it!

I think I got this particular pattern from a sewing store, and then altered it to make it look more like an antique Steiff bear.

Thank you so very much, Karen! I have to admit that I did have a lot of emotion to put in this image. Teddy bears were and are my first love as far as toys go. I will never forget my first bear, a panda that I named "Teddy". I lost it when I was three and never quite recovered, lol! I have the Lonely Doll book and love it. It has always been an inspiring book to look at. :-))

I have heard and read many stories of people losing there beloved stuffed animals when they were children and it is quite traumatic. I think people (hopefully) are more sensitive to how they take a toy away from a child nowadays. I bet you were. :) (I still have boxes of my sons toys in storage.)

Oh yes, I protected my kids' toys, even when they didn't appreciate it, lol! My son at least expressed his appreciation that I didn't get rid of certain toys that he tossed away in his teens. He now has them in his possession :-))
