End of the Road...

End of the Road...
My photo using a PicMonkey texture
Photographed at Assateague Island, MD, this is what's left of the road that was put in to develop the Island into a beach resort. The idea was tabled after a destructive hurricane blew through in 1962, which effectively separated Assateague from Ocean City. Thereafter, the island has been overseen by the National Park Service. See the original photo in the note.

Another fabulous combination of image and texture. This has a really creepy, almost apocalyptic feel to it ... like a scene from The Walking Dead, just need a few zombies! ;)
