Class 139 (1) - 9 September 2016

Operated by Pre Metro Operations for London Midland, the Class 139 (PPM60) Parry People Mover is one of the smallest parts of the UK railway system but its design and operation keep alive the Stourbridge Town - Stourbridge Junction branch with a 10 minute service interval. I travelled in both directions and patronage was high. Although, arguably, lacking the appeal of a freight locomotive, I make no apology for posting a series of no fewer than 11 pictures of the class. No part of our railways should go undocumented.

Here, 139001 approaches Stourbridge Town with the 1315 from Stourbridge Junction to return at 1320.
