Blue Beetle in Millbrae (2) - 22 April 2016

There are plenty of survivors in the UK, many lovingly cared for, but the VW Beetle particularly thrives in the mostly dry air of California. I never tire of the variety to be seen there. This example was on Taylor Blvd., Millbrae, CA.

It is not unusual for running Beetles to be modified but goodness only knows what is on the roof of this one. I thought they might be small solar panels.
