Phelps Cottage, Islington - 8 February 2015
A Sunday morning walk in Islington brought me across the beautiful sight of Phelps Cottage in Islington High Street. The plaque above the front door reads 'Phelps Cottage 1838.' Research has been difficult and more information would be welcome but I take this to have been a residence of 19th century actor and theatre manager Samuel Phelps (1804-1878).
