Go Green! and Yellow - 1 November 2014

The main purpose of this photograph is, of course, to record another beautiful Beetle and its classic California plate. However, the picture unintentionally captures a small piece of Palm Springs history. The poster above the trolley park at Smoke Tree Village advises the shopping public that plastic bags will no longer be available from November 3rd. From that date, it's going to be 10c for a paper bag or around 99c for a reusable bag. This, then, is another example of a city council which has not examined the environmental issues in depth.
