Millennium Bridge - 21 June 2014

Briefly notorious for a flaw in its design on opening in 2000, the Norman Foster designed Millennium Bridge (London Millennium Footbridge) is now an established part of the London landscape and an attraction in its own right. It links the major visitor destinations of St Paul's Cathedral and Tate Modern. To my mind, the once spectacular Bankside Power Station, the home of Tate Modern, is rather diminished by its cluttered surroundings and, arguably, if I might for a moment be controversial, by its extension.
