S&DJR Remembered (9) - 30 March 2013

My pursuit of railway history continued today in Sturminster Newton in Dorset where the actual infrastructure of the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway (S&DJR) has all but disappeared but the route and station are marked. This is the reverse view through the beautiful gates to railway Gardens featured in the first picture in this set. The building on the other side of Station Road is Streeters Carpets. Although a newer extension is closer to the camera, the rest of the building is part of the former station.
