Offshore - 2 April 2014

A misty day did not enhance views across the Solent from Browndown, Gosport and the Isle of Wight is barely discernible in the background. I imagined that this unidentified sailing ship might have emerged from history although a closer examination revealed a very modern RIB attached to the stern of the vessel. My original shots tended to emphasise how the conditions sucked the colour of out of the subject whereas b&w serves to set a mood. A heavy crop is one of several experiments I tried before posting only two pictures from my series.
