King of the Road - 4 July 2013

Just occasionally, you see the strangest things. Even less often, you get the chance to capture them. This was a snatched shot as evidenced by the slightly incorrect exposure. Opposite a petrol station on the A51 near Alpraham, Cheshire, sat this old man staring intently through a pair of binoculars. So intent was he, that he seemed completely unphased by the traffic and completely unaware of anyone watching. Perhaps he was awaiting the approach of an unknown enemy?
