Karlsruhe Stadtmitte
Endlich, nach Fertigstellung der kleinsten U-Bahn Linie der Welt, wurde das betonlastige Karlsruher Stadtzentrum mit viel Grün aufgewertet. Dass sich jetzt nur noch Radfahrende und Fussläufige in der Stadtmitte aufhalten dürfen, versteht sich von selbst.

Auf den ersten Blick wird man die ausgeprägte Abwesenheit der Pyramide auf dem Marktplatz wahrnehmen. Diese wurde zwischenzeitlich ins Waldstadt-Zentrum verlegt, in deren Nähe man nach ereignisreichen Shopping-Erlebnissen bei Edeka oder DM jederzeit wieder neue pyramidale Energie auftanken kann.

Don't understand all as I don't know the place, but seems nice to walk along this path. I say walk because I don't ride bikes, I just don't like it. I prefer to walk and see plants, trees, bugs... taking my time, not just passing by. Men's body is made for walking...

I don't blame you...and I also wrote about the city I live in it with a grain of humor ;-) But it sure is nice to walk along that path. I used to like riding my bicycle 30 or 40 years ago when hardly anybody was into cycling and I could do it leisurely. Now with all those rude cyclists (and even worse: mountain bikers!) around, it's no longer fun and I do prefer walking.

Da kannst du höchstens ein fahrrad stoppen und hoffen, dass dich jemand auf dem gepäckträger mitnimmt ;-))
Dafür ist es ein schöner waldweg, denn man entspannt entlangspazieren kann.

Well, I can understand you do because you live in the countryside. Since I live in a big and busy city, I prefer to stay in my suburb and go shopping online ;-))

Nein, der bürgermeister ist von der SPD, aber du weisst ja, dass sich die grünen 1980 in Karlsruhe gegründet haben. Wen wundert's? ;-))

In KA (siehe meine antwort an BK), scheint man dennoch ein fan von betonwüsten zu sein, nicht nur, um sie zu erhalten, sondern um weitere neu zu erschaffen!!

Ja...nur dürfen in KA in der Stadtmitte gar keine autos mehr parken. Vielleicht noch lieferfahrzeuge... Hier mag man die vorstellung von grossen weiten und überwiegend leeren flächen. Wahrscheinlich wurde die stadtverwaltung vom leiter eines anti-agoraphobieseminars überredet ;-))) Vor allen dingen machen diese weiten und schattenlosen betonflächen im tropenklima der rheinebene besonders viel sinn in diesen nicht-enden wollenden sommern. Nirgendwo schatten. Oder es war die kneipenlobby, die das durchgesetzt hat ;-)

Das stelle ich mir dann bei euch in KA so ähnlich vor wie auf unserem Marktplatz, da ist es im Sommer auch nicht auszuhalten, aber Hauptsache den Marktbeschickern steht kein Bäumchen im Weg;-)

Richtig. Besonders die abwesenheit der nutzlosen läden hat es mir angetan ;-)
