Aan het gras is de stroomrichting van het water goed te zien--toen in 2016 heeft het water schijnbaar ook al hoog gestaan--en van hieruit te zien is de wall VOOR het terras van het hotel om de water massa te breken---linksboven ligt de Saffenburg op 314 m hoogte -het kasteel wat inmiddels geheel verdwenen is ,is in de elfde eeuw gebouwd door de graven -Adolf von Nórvenich en Adelbert von Saffenburg
