These purple flowered plants look like Impatiens glandulifera, Fred, which can easily block waterways. It has become a bit of a nuisance on rivers and canals in the UK. It looks pretty though.

Ik weet het Amelia,,,,hier worden deze bloemen nu ook bestreden,,,,door ze vroegtijdig te maaien,,zo kunnen ze geen zaad ontwikkelen,en nemen inheemse planten het gebied weer over......Amellia ik vraag me altijd af,,,wie zoiets dan meeneemt,,,uit de Himalaya,,,als ze weten dat deze plant zo woekert---afkomstig uit de Himalaya,,,
