Hello Peter, What a great shot here! Im with Rosa about the yellow/gold church, it stands out so nicely there above the buildings, then my eye goes upward to the rocky hillside and old ruins, and Peter I just hope the rocky hillside is stable with no possibility of crumbling... the little village would be in danger...... as is what an area of California is experiencing right now after a devastating mudslide, with home destroyed and lives lost, YS for this picturesque scene.

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic visit here. As I said to Rosa, it was the colour of the church which prompted me to take the photo, it stood out very bright as compared to the dull snowy landscape around it. As for the hills, I think they are stable enough! They are riddled with footpaths, and are not quite so steep as they look in the picture. We have been seeing California pictures on our news too, but I think no fear of that here.

You get around Peter, Not an area that I have visited on my own Germany tours but its looks impressive. Maybe I shall put it on my bucket list. The winter and castle certainly adds to this.
