Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you so much for your kind comment. I think most of the best pictures from the weekend came from the beginning or end of the day. Makes it worthwhile to get up early and stick around until the end!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubThank you for your visit here. Yes, a low sun, and an appropriate position as the loco moved around the yard. I am glad that you like it.

Perhaps you figured it out from the maps and other photos, or maybe you are such a good photographer as to know the difference!!! Either way, I am impressed!

This set is from a weekend in Norfolk with Alan and Steve, so we might end up playing 'Snap' eventually!
There will be loads more, I haven't finished processing them yet!!

Having decide to visit for the two days, it would have been a shame to miss the opportunity!

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Valfal clubI am very happy that you liked it. The locomotive was built for use in the war, along with a lot of others to the same design, for heavy freight work.

... yes, certainly superb lighting: golden hue ... and the all those glistening rails really carry the eye ... the shiny massive wheels and dual columns of stack-gas are nice elements ...
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to L. L. Wall clubyour visit is much appreciated as always.
An unusually bright sunset, and the privilage of being able to walk around the yard at will, then we find the right timing, with the fireman looking out of the window so casually!
The locomotive in the station platform is B12 #8572 running tender first.
