"FREEDOM" the Georgia Southern University ( Statesboro, Georgia) mascot....with its Handler.... in town for our annual festival day ...
This gorgeous bird is the mascot to this University and is trained by this man...the Eagle with this wide wing span, obeys the handler's voice.. at the University's football games Freedom will circle the stadium on game day on a command, and will return to this handler's gloved arm until further notice. It is quite amazing to watch...Freedom was the center of attention on his visit to our town..In this photo Freedom is just being introduced to our park area when he arrived.

Hi Sarah, what a magnificent bird! Looks like good weather for the festival day. My daughter is in Austin, Texas at the moment and she said it is very warm...lucky girl :)
Best wishes, Rosa.

Hello there Rosa, Yes indeed, he is just that:) he is a sight to behold when "doing its thing" at the hands of his handler at Georgia Southern University Football games. We hope he will be in attendance again this year at our festival on the weekend of Easter in April. My oldest brother and family live in Dallas, Texas ! in recent days, some rough weather has been in around that area:( My brother and wife always tells me that whatever weather they are having, just give it a couple days and it will show up here in Georgia where we are:) and that usually DOES happen.:) thanks Rosa, always good to hear from you. Warm regards, ~ Sarah ~
