... oh, if I were a Clematis aficionado, I would know the name of this variety ... iconic lovely colors in this shot ...

... probably will not get to see them in mid-Atlantic Region this Spring ... 3 bouts of unseasonably warm Winter weather, each followed by temperatures in the 'teens, caused many species of native and garden plants to bud-out and then deeply freeze ...

Well Wally, Im no Clemantis expert at all, but I so love this one climbing up an outdoor lamp .
we had the same weather experience, with a warm winter and they began to bloom and BAM, here came a freeze. This shot is from last year, and I do have some blooms out there this year, but this one was such a nice specimen, I had to go back and grab this one up to post.
