Kind words, Jenny, thank you. I hope to get back into the mountains soon but there may be problems along that path which I won't go into but I always had the ambition of returning after a 4 year gap and I will be mightily unhappy if, yet again, my plans are thwarted!

I am pleased to read you are back safe and sound but sorry to hear of your parents' ongoing issues. It is a very difficult time for you all.. I hope you have time for a little rest and recuperation of your own before you return to Cornwall

Tomorrow I start a whole raft of medical checks and also I get to see my girlfriend for the first time in over a year! Amazing really! She came to England (Salisbury) on a three month course and I couldn't travel then so didn't visit her. Then, as she was returning to Spain, I began my seven and a half months stay in Cornwall. Our paths crossed!! Then she had issues with her mother's health and so was stuck herself and couldn't visit me in Cornwall! C'est la vie.
