HFF everyone!

One of the last photos I took before my back went and I didn't take any more new photos for some time. I had an operation for 4 fractured vertebrae (apparently caused by long term cortisone treatment as part of my chemotherapy). Then immediately after suffered a detached retina so another operation, then quickly after that, covid in a big way (5 months in hospital including 2 months in an induced coma).
Funny how these things pan out; on the day I took this photo, I'd walked 30,000 paces and felt really really good! Hubris or what?
A song I've always liked and a band who always inspired.

Andy Rodker club has replied to Ecobird clubMany thanks ..and yes, I'm getting things sorted out health-wise. For example on Sunday I did 41,000 paces according to my pedometer. But then I don't wan't to encourage hubris again!
Ecobird club has replied to Andy Rodker clubAs for the fence and leaves - well Autumn is my favourite time of year so I am pleased to see the colours here.
Love the music by the way. I always wondered about their name, - better than average I would have thought!! A clever album cover too!

moi
Andy Rodker club has replied to ROL/Photo clubAnd of covid! I was fortunate in that my back and eye operations took place in a lull in covid hospital admissions. I was told initially that I might have to wait over a year for my back operation but I must have been lucky as I only waited two months. In that time, like you, movement was hard and walking, bending, etc., was NOT recommended.
Pleased that you have experienced some progress these past two months and may that continue exponentially.
l have found the whole physiotherapy experience an interesting one. I'd never had it before and so didn't know what to expect. At first my slow progress was frustrating and I couldn't see the point of it. And on a day-by-day basis it's true that one can't see progress. But then when I started to look back at where I was, say, one, two or three months previously, then yes - great strides have been made.
I hope you too have some method of continuing your progress.
I'd like to know how you get on, moving forward!
All best wishes,
Andy
Welcome back, and congratulations on making your way through it all... it must have required immense force of will. Hope you get back to some robust health soon, and plenty more photos :)
Andy Rodker club has replied to Jim Kerslake clubYes I'm much better now and looking forward to walking in the mountains again - eventually!!
Hope all is well with you! Are you still living in the Brecons?
Excellent framing and a crackin' mix of beautiful colours. Pops even more when viewed on black. An iconic piece of music for sure and a marvellous performance.
I have been feeling more and more guilty each time I look at your photostream and read of the horrendous times you have been suffering and that I haven't taken the time to acknowledge your words. It's just heart-breaking to read of all the awful things you have had to deal with. I hope that your recovery and health continues to improve as each day passes
Very best wishes to you.
Roger
Andy Rodker club has replied to Roger Bennion clubThis red gate and fence certainly popped out at me as I walked past!
