crêpes are fine and I sometimes make them but with a very fresh egg, lightly boiled, fried or poached would be best I think!

No, not this one but a few like it. The broad sweep of country and the skyscapes, make it irresistable! I try and post different weather aspects and there will obv be quite a few more to come!
I will be more exposed to the dreaded lurgy, not less, as I am having to go into Madrid central several times a week on public transport for medical things - hospital and clinic visits, which with my compromised immune system is not ideal!

Oh dear, that's not so good................make sure you take care of yourself Andy.

Wow, Andy - I knew you liked visiting your sister, and I should think that with the current climate, teaching jobs are few and far between, so it only seems sensible to live with her. Apart from the fact that you can get amazing pictures of the view from her home. Superb sights

I am very happy to see your new home and am sure you will be happy there, and you can look at Sierra de La Cabrera... you will go back there soon this is over !!!

I hope so! But I won't have a car* so it will take me even longer to get there! In to Madrid and them out again!
*Nor will I have a driving licence. Thanks to the shame and disaster that is Brexit, my EU driving licence expires at the end of this month and I can't apply for a Spanish one until my medical situation clears up, so I will need to pass a driving test and theory exam, and a new UK licence is impossible to get from here, and useless for the moment too! A dilemma! I will need to be able to drive in both countries at some point!

In PT foreigners have to change their licence for a Portuguese one when they are residents. It costs about 100euros... Hope you will solve this issue.

"Lovely fresh eggs for breakfast!" : hope you can also have bacon to keep the taste of your homeland! ;-)
