Beginner´s luck, Janet. The week before, I had dropped my much loved Nokia N95 camera-phone in a bog and it expired (R.I.P.)
I was crestfallen. A few days later I was passing a shop window in Truro when I saw a few pocket digitals at what looked like silly prices. I found out that this was a pawn shop. Anyway, eventually I bought a Fuji Finepix 100 second hand for £15 and have been happy with it ever since! But today I do mainly use my smart phone. The last SLR I used (I still have it, with assorted lenses) was my Pentax ME, unused since the mid 80s for a multitude of reasons!)

A fantastic shot of the Cornish coastline. I've just read your reply to Janet and I was amazed at reading you bought a Fuji Finepix 100 for £15. I've got a Fuji Finepix S1800, which I am pleased with but I wish I could add a macro lens to it.

A lovely coastal scene, with the purple flowers making a great foreground. Reading your chat with Janet above, why not chase up a second hand Pentax DSLR body? All those lenses you have would work a treat on it.

A good point, George. Unfortunately times are hard at present and nothing but absolute priorities can be bought. But when times improve ... !!
