Actually, the cultivated varieties have all the scent! They have been bred with scent specifically in mind! None the less the scent IS pleasant, just not overpowering!

Oh - I was referring to the damp, mossy, pungent smell of the shrubbery, not especially flowers. There is one here called coyote brush (Baccharis Pilularis) that I adore, it only grows on the west coast and smells like a combination of skunk, black pepper and maple syrup. According to my nose, that is!
