Roman Road

Near the town of Zarzalejo and not far from El Escorial. There are no major Roman roads or settlements near here and no record, apart from what you see, of this undoubtedly Roman road! A mystery. Some scholars surmise that it served mines in the mountains.
I find I posted this shot a couple of years back too. Oh well - I'm doing this more and more often. I remember Pano used to advise us if we'd posted the same shot twice! Maybe something IMA could look at?

About double posting- I guess that's something at the very back of the queue for IMA, there's lots of more important stuff to be done before that.
