Did Creedence CLEARWATER Revival ever record at MUSSEL SHOALS Studios?

Sorry about the title; I couldn't resist it (and yes, I do know the correct spelling!)
Godrevy Lighthouse, Island and Point. Lots of clear water and lots of mussels!
(I cooked moules marinieres later that day!)

Yes, this is low tide but the mussels were cooked at my parent's home 5 miles away. The only time I have had them cooked on the beach was in Skye (Scotland), a fond but distant memory!

Yeah, they really did record their early stuff at Muscle Shoals on the Tennessee River. I think it's just a different spelling of the mollusk. Another great photo. Love seeing the mussels closed up tight.

You have to know, Keith that Muscle Shoals (note the spelling) is or was a very famous recording studio and I have been informed that the band certainly did record there (which was inspired guesswork on my part!). So not obscure at all! (imho!)

I collect them from here with my Spanish brother-in-law and we easily eat more than 86 each!!!!
Washed down with a decent white from Galicia or Portugal (Great Portugese wines are easy to find in England and IMPOSSIBLE to find in Spain!)
