I had to laugh, Lucette!
My mother was about 25 miles away, probably gardening and preparing supper both at the same time (women can multi-task you know!).
This is the Atlantic Ocean!

Looks like Spanish granite!! It was only when I saw the rest of the coastline that it told me...Cornwall.
Andy Rodker club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne
It's a great stretch of coast from Mousehole to Land's End. The pink granite stretch is between Lamorna Cove and Nanjizal. Not as famous as the Brittany Cote du Granit Rose, but I think more spectacular, in the main because the cliffs are a zillion times higher and more remote. The Brittany ones are slap bang in the middle of tourist resorts!

Echanting view caught in a magic atmosphere!!
Even the the anthropomorphous rock on the left, looking like an ancient big lizard seems to enjoy geatly it!:-)

Andy Rodker club has replied to Beatrice Degan(MARS)
Well, it's a rock, not a lizard but, yes! I do believe it likes to 'show off' just a bit!
Many thanks Bea!!

Whether you take credit for it or not Andy............those shapes and textures in the rocks are just superbly captured. I love the rusty streaks on some of the granite - would that be iron deposits of some sort?
Andy Rodker club has replied to Keith Burton club
I'll take credit whenever I can get it, thanks, Keith! :o)
Not iron, but there is granite around the world that has a pinkish to orangy hue. Parts of the North coast of Brittany are just the same. I don't know what causes this colour. (Having said that, some expert will weigh in with the fact that it IS iron; knowing my luck!)
