I had lost this in a folder that I had forgotten had a few old photos in it!. I was doing some computer housework and came across this and one or two others. I knew I had it somewhere!! Taken in 1972 on a Russian Kosmic 35, 35mm camera, which I used in the early 70s as a teenager.
Just out of site but below the rock window are the famous vineyards of Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages, Gigondas.

I still have my Cosmic somewhere in the attic, in Cornwall! I last used it in 76. I was given a Pentax ME SLR plus a couple of lenses for my 18th that year. I still have that too.

Wow, you had a Russian camera? Amazing. I have seen quite a few Russian photos of this vintage (usually b&w) and they were so grainy that it was hard to imagine they were from the 70s! Now I see it's not only the black and white film. Was the film Russian, also?

Firstly, I hope you have got over the fires I read about in Klammath Falls.
Secondly, I have never had Russian film. It would have been s basic Kodak film but since we're talking 1972, I can't be sure!!!

A lovely view, but today's cameras are so much better for focus and colour. Even though for that year, this is a great picture - it's the framing of the view that captures the picture. Nothing wrong with having a few sleeps during the day - you obviously need it to get better.
