Beads

Two weeks after Mardi gras, fragments of bead necklaces can be found everywhere, here in the otherwise empty parking lot of the local grocery store on Sunday morning.

The Woods

My phone died the other day, so I bought a Pixel 5a. I took it out to the woods to test the camera. It did okay. As I was putting the phone in my pocket, it decided to take one more picture on its own. One odd thing: the statistics said the distance from the subject was 3m. Either I'm a lot taller than I thought I was, or the camera was after something underground. Treasure?

Hello from Hillsdale
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
|
|
|
This was supposed to be a picture of the clover in our neighbor’s yard. Here in suburbia, clover is generally frowned up, but it looks pretty at times, especially in certain light, and the bees certainly like it. So on yesterday’s late afternoon walk I stopped to take a picture with my phone camera. When I got home I discovered there was no picture. I have no idea what could have gone wrong. As a substitute I offer this picture of a grilled cheese sandwich my wife made for me the other day. She makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches. One of my top five meal of all time was the first grilled cheese sandwich she made for me, though I have to confess there were other considerations at play. We generally don’t eat pickles, but my youngest granddaughter loves pickles, and it is with her in mind that we bought these.

Only ten more uploads and I've filled my space. I'm not sure we have that many dishcloths.
