Den sonderbaren Namen hat dieser Vogel von seinen schwarzen Schmuckfedern am Hinterkopf, die etwas an Gänsekielfedern erinnern, die von Sekretären bei Gericht früher oft in Perücken gesteckt wurden. Dieser Greifvogel gilt im südlichen Afrika als edel und überlegen und ist daher auch im Wappen Südafrikas und im Wappen des Sudan mit ausgebreiteten Schwingen abgebildet. Maui, 2007, Chinese New Year. We joined a happy group at a local restaurant, had a great dinner, and then were entertained by some youth lion dancers. This woman is "feeding the lion", passing in money for good luck for the new year. The proceeds went to the youth organization.

Hwange National Park was founded in 1928 as part of the five-nation Kavango - Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area. Now it is the largest natural reserve in Zimbabwe. It is around 14,600 sq km in area.

The adventurous historic stand-up gondola cable car (established in 1960), which leads up to the Toni-Demez hut at 2,685 metres above sea level. Only 2 people fit in one gondola.
