Big Bend Sunset

The fourth night of our stay in Big Bend National Park we camped along the Rio Grande and the River Road, a gravel road that follows the river through the south side of the park. This was the sunset that evening.

Stay safe, Ron.
RHH club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubTY for the comments on my rusty nail spike and for all of my rusty cans and such that I found at an old miner's camp. From what the hike leader said, there are lots of abandoned camps like this scattered about when folks were hunting for gold
As for me, I am almost irresistibly attracted to all subjects rusty! The abstractness makes for such wonderful, artistic photography and I've got troves of pictures of rusty everything! Now a-days I'd like to visit that camp again with my metal detector...what fun that would be! Wow...just looked at the time to get to the trail head from our house 1.5 HOURS! LOL, I remember that hike being FOREVER to get there and back, it's actually in California! We met the group in Ashland and then drove to the trailhead...all-told prob'ly 2 hrs to get there with coordinating at the parking lot. Loved the hikes we went on but many of them were just way too far away...so it would be nice to some day park our rig nearby!
It sure is nice that you've enjoyed perusing those pictures...I had a look myself and isn't it fabulous how photos take you right back there so perfectly? That was such a wonderful day. :) Thanks for bringing it back to me. :)
