Castle Geyser

This is Castle Geyser, one of the prominent features of the Upper Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, the same geyser basin that includes Old Faithful. It erupts to a height of 90 feet (27 meters) every ten to twelve hours but we have never seen it erupt.

I mentioned to Steve that soon we should be thinking about what we want to do for our travels...and we're thinking it will be Utah! I am a total broken record about the parks there and Steve is dying to see the ones I got to see and can't stop yakking about (Bryce, Arches, Zion), and there are many other places I haven't been to and want to see (Canyonlands, some of the slot canyons, Capitol Reef...and well, there are just so many amazing places!) Anyway, we'll start figuring things out slow but sure...
Loved your tome you wrote to me! Always such a total highlight to sit and wolf down all your words! :) Always my favorite book to read! :)
I am SO SORRY that you lost your post...that sucks so BADLY. It's happened to me as well and is so infuriating :( ...I know that I need to hit POST as I go so if I click away by mistake at least most of what I've done will be there but I still forget and sometimes I get bit. :(
Sounds like you guys are up to your ears with helping out over there. And you know, regarding the overwhelming aspect, I'm sure you're right...it's something you just get used to. When you're away from the chaos long enough, it becomes overwhelming again. Anytime we go to a big city now, it's just too much! And big crowds have never been comfortable for me, now I have a limit to how much I can stand. And even when I had a lapse between jobs of many years (when we moved up here I didn't work at an office for nearly 10 years...what a weird situation to do that for a couple of years...at first it was so bizarre and took some getting used to. So yeah...I BET you're up to your eyeballs in the crazy factor of kitliings and all that comes with them!! :D)
Gosh, I'm so pleased that you liked my Violet picture. Really, you sure make me feel great about pictures I took with my older camera. Steve reminded me back then when I was unhappy comparing my images with that of his Canon 5D Mk1 that perhaps the quality might be better but he'd say that I did more with that camera than most could because I pushed it to its limits, and I had everything else going for me so I should be happy and stop comparing! :D Anyway, thank you. You don't know how hard it was to keep myself from deleting all of those older pictures when I was in my "I HATE THEM ALL" phase. Sheesh...
Forgive me for giggling about the temperature there...the way you put it makes me smirk, you poor dear! The temperature here has finally risen above zero this morning....It's inhuman!" It's just so AWFUL, Ron, I can't even imagine that kind of cold!! Totally sucktasti!! It's supposed to get up as high as 20F tomorrow. I mean...SERIOUSLY!!! That's INSANE!!
Kind of unfortunate that you had to reorder your trip, but so nice of your kids to book you into that nice place. I spent some time looking up the place you want to ride bikes along and it looks GREAT! What a wonderful time you'll have, it looks really fun and something that Steve and I would enjoy so much too.
Long drives to get to where you want to spend time...it's rough but if you can deal with it, well, it's sure nice to get there sooner. Not like Steve and I can pull the drives you guys do, but still, we know what it feels like to be totally fried from overly long drives. In the end though, it's great to be there so your real adventure can begin.
Oh how cool that you have a kalimba now! They make a lovely sound, don't they?! And I love that you're learning to play it...You Are My Sunshine...awwwww, Nancy will love it, you romantic sweetheart! :) <3
Shucks, I will have to finish this tomorrow, it's time to cuddle with Steve...much more to reply to though, so I'll return in the morning! :) Night night! :)
Have a lovely week end, dear Ron.
