Photographed in Jedediah Smith State Park along the Simpson-Reed Grove Trail, this is one of the few wildflowers we saw among the Redwoods. It is the Stoutleaf Iris, Iris tenax.

So pretty, Ron, we saw them too when visiting. I am right now sitting in the truck with our RV we are behind a grocery store while Steve runs in to get some cream. There is so little internet around and it is so inconsistent I have come to learn what it is I miss most... info on the fly. We are having a wonderful time though and are heading to College Lake where we will go inner tube riding fishing hiking and bicycle riding - should be a great time. Hope you are doing great!
