Thanks so much for your comments on my fireplace pictures, they were fun to take but I really didn't think I'd get anything worthy of posting...isn't that interesting how fire pictures can be that way? They are too crisp or too blurry or they just miss the target somehow. I expected garbage from my group of images so it was a great surprise to find out I'd somehow hit the mark just right! :D
How I LOVED the link you sent me of the fire picture macro! Totally sensational abstract!! :) It is such fun to wander around a macro image to see if there's something special in there which can only be seen when at 100%. Found that to be the case so many times...the little treasures sometimes hide very well in plain sight. :)
Yeah, Brian is one handsome devil...and as he ages, he merely becomes rugged and handsome. He's very lucky to have such fine features! I admit to loving any opportunity to show him off because I'm so proud of him! :) (and as for being "not photogenic", I am going to have to disagree with you...your wife--attractive I will add!--and I would have to say you're quite the striking fellow! But I will say that I don't think *I* am anything to look at...lol...my handsome husband remarks on my supposed good looks on a regular basis. I guess we are all very silly, aren't we?
LOLOLOL...the "selfie people"...yeah...*flicks all of their pictures into the nearest garbage can*... how do you spell "loser"? LOL...sorry but give me a break. How narcissistic do you have to be to fill your photo stream with pictures of yourself? So lame...anyone I find that does that is instantly removed from my contacts...it's one thing to do this when you're traveling with your significant other, and then only once in a while because it's fun and cute. It's a whole other thing to do this entirely without any other interest.
On lichens...lol...yeah, they're a lot like mushrooms in regards to identification I've learned. You basically need a microscope to identify exactly. Flowers can sometimes be this way too. How about the hybrids, then it really gets ludicrous! :D In the end, there's only so deep we need to dig because sooooooo few actually want to know such fine distinction. :) Thank goodness, I'd hate to have a dozen people begging to know if its one subtle type or the other subtle type...or that other half dozen it could be too! ACK! :D
Oh dear, the story about Ms. AWOL-Minded! That is both funny but sad and she must have been so annoyed and embarrassed each time it happened. As it is, it's just awful to be distracted and forget a lens cap or tripod somewhere along the trail. Trekking back is just GRAH!! :D
I hope you got some nice pictures on your sunny day! It's been foggy and otherwise lovely here, got some fun pictures to share too!!
