Miner's Cabin

After driving out of Warm Springs Canyon on the south end of Death Valley National Park we drove north through the main tourist areas and then into the mountains on the west side. In the mountains we drove to the site of the mining town of Skidoo which turned out to be nothing but sagebrush and a sign, but visited several old mining structures and cabins on the way. This was a miner's cabin and had the old bedsprings and an old wine bottle still inside (see insets).

Have a great evening .
RHH club has replied to Andy Rodker clubAndy Rodker club has replied to RHH clubStill, I can't see how it is possible. I could accept the date as being the company foundation date but certainly not the vintage of the wine itself. I would bet money on it. The wine type is of a fairly cheap, non-vintage style too.
The clincher is that no wine anywhere in the world had a label that used this modern typeface in 1917.
If you can prove me wrong, I will certainly eat large dollops of humble pie! :o)))

Once, very long ago I was there also in the middle of nowhere in Death Valley. I'll never forget it...
Greetz, Christien.
Enjoyed this fantastic serie too, Ron.
