Paphiopedilum venustum album

Paphiopedilum venustum album
Paphiopedilum venustum is a small species of Lady's Slipper from India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It has beautifully patterned leaves and these lovely flowers. The ordinary variety of the species has flowers with some purplish-red color which is lacking in this variety. This was a first-bloom seedling but I've bloomed the other variety, shown in the inset, many times.

I don't grow them from seed - that requires a lab and a very specialized growing area. I do get seedlings from time to time and grow them on.
