Table Mountain

We discovered the joys of snowshoeing in 2012 and this photo was taken on one of our first snowshoe excursions. Tim, son Edward and I went up to Artist's Point on a rather foggy May day when there was still a lot of snow in the mountains. This was taken on the way up to Artist's Point and shows Table Mount barely visible through the fog (the inset shows it one a clear day). Artist's Point is one of our favorite snowshoeing destinations and I've already been up there once this winter since the snow started coming. Table Mountain is one of the landmarks in the area north of Mount Baker and is accessible in the summer to hikers though we have not yet been up to the top. Snowshoeing has extended our "hiking" season through the winter and is becoming a better and cheaper alternative than skiing for us "old" folk.

So much beauty
Excellent photograph indeed ! ******
Snow shoes are used here too. But by far most people prefer skies. Either the lighter cross coutry or telemark skies or the expensive Randonee equipement for top tours.
