View from the Roman Slope

On the morning of day two of our Mount Baker climb we arrived at the top of Coleman Glacier at the Coleman-Deming Saddle, visible in the lower center of the picture. From the perspective of the photo, Coleman Glacier falls away to the right and Deming Glacier is visible on the lower left. The peak is Mount Colfax and Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains is visible in the distance behind the peak. We had just come up the rocky ridge in the lower center of the picture, part of the Roman Slope. We were putting our crampons back on for the last climb to the top when this photo was taken.
