Mount Rainier from Mount Baker


This photo, taken from the Coleman-Deming Saddle on the southwest side of Mount Baker, looks south over the Cascades to Mount Rainier, a hundred miles away. Mount Rainier is another active volcano in the chain of 18 volcanoes that reach from the Canadian border into California and include also Glacier Peak, Mount St. Helens, Mount Adams, Mount Hood, Mount Shasta and Lassen Peak. Mount Rainier is 14,409 feet elevation.
